Mother nature left nothing much to be desired this winter if you are among those who count the days until those months when the days get short and mother nature just just might bless us with piles of white stuff, an abundance of first tracks and the oportunity to see if we can exceed our previous years total vertical feet; however, I am a jack of many trades and I like to make Lemonade out of Lemons so.... I am trying to see this ski season not as non-existent but that it gave me a kick to a very early spring making it a very long season for my other loved sports. Unseasonably warm weather allowed for early camping excursions, mountain bike rides, and trail runs with ideal conditions and most importantlly a great spring season for Equestrians. Spring time has been long an wonderful being able to start breaking babies sooner, moving out from the indoor rings, and more daylight makes those sunset and sunrise rides more wonderful than ever. Spring is here and summer is on its way here so enjoy the warm season and maybe this winter Mother Nature will reward us with an epic abundance of first tracks.

A Summation of Life Endeavors:
“To exist is to change; to change is to mature; to mature is to change one-self endlessly.” ~ Henri Bergson I am a life long adventurer in pursuit to cultivate a personal connection to the divine, constantly allowing new places, unique people, and future ventures, to expand my perception of the universe. The natural territory, the wilderness, has always felt like home, something primordial which has drawn me toward a vast array of outdoor passions. Horses have been a part of my life since I was born. They have taught me love, respect, discipline, and most of all patience. Through these life lessons I have found my wings to pursue my other passions with an unyielding determination and enthusiasm for adventure. I am a passionate runner, mountain biker and adventure racer, but more than anything when the days shorten and the white cold smoke of the mountains roles in, to rest for the season, I hear it summon me with my heavy boots and boards to hike for the brilliant first tracks and epic lines in various chasms of the world. Being that I live on the east coast and rarely do we have first tracks worthy of the words, brilliantly epic, I satisfy my need to be on the boards by patrolling at Liberty Mountain in PA between my annual winter ventures. Family and friends are paramount in my life, and it is only with their love and support that I have pursued my dreams. When I am standing on the earth in my bare feet, stroking my horse’s soft nose, or standing above the continental divide searching for that epic line, I feel incredibly more alive and more at peace within myself than can ever be described in words. The universe is energetic and sacred, it feeds my soul with an eternal desire to seek a deeper understanding of our earth, the universe, and myself through glorious pursuits which will lead me down paths yet unknown. “All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.” ~ Unknown ….. venture on ~Alisa
